Dr. A.J. Peretz DDS
A proud third-generation dentist, Dr. Peretz brings a deep personal commitment to the art and science of dentistry. He believes that a truly beautiful smile reflects not only healthy teeth, but also each patient’s face, personality, and unique spirit.
Dr. Peretz has been providing exceptional dental care to the greater Washington, D.C. area for over 20 years. He is dedicated to creating a positive, comfortable experience for every patient and, together with his team, continually pursues advanced training to ensure the most modern dental techniques and technologies are available—delivered with convenience and care.
A 1997 graduate of Howard University College of Dentistry, Dr. Peretz received the prestigious Oral Pathology Award and completed a rigorous general practice residency at Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania, exceeding the requirements set forth by the dental licensing board.
Dr. Peretz has served as a dentist at Georgetown Smile since 2006, where his clinical focus is cosmetic dentistry. The practice is known throughout the community for its exceptional service and use of state-of-the-art technology, allowing treatments to be efficient, comfortable, and highly effective.
His professional excellence has been recognized with numerous honors, including being named one of the Best General Dentists and Specialists by Washington Magazine and receiving an award from the Disabled American Veteran Commanders Club in 2014. Dr. Peretz was also named America’s Top Dentist by the Consumer’s Research Council of America in 2009, 2011–2015, 2017, and 2018, and has been featured in Marquis Who’s Who.
Committed to giving back, Dr. Peretz has supported the National Kidney Foundation and has volunteered his dental services with the local VA, as well as internationally. Since 2000, he has participated in multiple overseas missions, providing pro bono dental care.
As an advocate of comprehensive dentistry, Dr. Peretz offers a wide range of cosmetic and restorative procedures tailored to each patient’s needs. He is a lifetime member of several prestigious professional organizations, including the American Academy of General Dentistry.

Leveraging more than two decades of excellence in dentistry, Dr. Peretz has earned distinction as a leader in his field. In this capacity, he has been a dentist for Georgetown Smile since 2006, focusing his efforts on cosmetic dentistry. His office uses the most updated technology and procedures to provide dental treatments that are efficient, productive, and pleasant. Georgetown Smile is revered for its great service within the community.

Since 2000 Dr. Peretz has been using his skill set and experience to give back to the community. Amongst his many endeavors, one of his most rewarding was when he traveled overseas to Mexico and Israel to volunteer and perform pro bono dentistry.
